Although the boiler works - thank goodness - the presentation was a complete disappointment. Dried cement was round the dustbins and there was a lot of brick dust left on the doorstep by the accompanying workman. Mr. Baxter left the cistern cupboard dirty with bits of steel, dust and dirt all over the floor. He failed to connect up the radiator in the kitchen so that it did not warm up when the boiler was turned on and worst of all he had not warned me that a 'combi boiler' would require the removal of the shower. There was no apology.He left the wires from the shower sticking out of the wall and they were live. Anyone who had touched them could have been killed. The new plumber who came to install the shower was shocked. Both men from DJB Heating Services knew I had had a hip replacement and could not bend to clean. Neighbours who came to help saw the job as hastily completed and unprofessional. I have found someone else to carry out the yearly maintenance of the boiler.
